Clenecorn

Physical Description:

Contains 750g/kg of Chlorsulfuron in the form of a wettable powder.  Packed in 20 gram water soluble bags .

Chemical Group:

Sulphonyl Urea

Uses:

Clenecorn is a selective broadleaf weed herbicide, registered for use in wheat, barley & oats. Clenecorn is an integral part of most broadleaf weed herbicide programmes and is usually tank mixed with other cereal herbicides.

Benefits:

Clenecorn has a large weed spectrum and is a very cost effective herbicide. It is compatible with most other commonly used cereal herbicides and is an ideal tank mix partner. Clenecorn can be used from autumn to late spring as long as the weeds are the correct size for treatment.

Application:

Use 20g/Ha anytime from when the crop has reached the two leaf stage (GS 12) but before the boot stage (GS 45). If it is to be tank mixed with another herbicide the rate can be reduced to 15g/Ha but the stage of growth must be observed as listed on the label of the tank mix partner herbicide. When it is to be applied alone the addition of Correct is recommended at 60ml/100l of water applied. If applied in tank mixes with other herbicides the addition of a surfactant such as Correct is not required. Use a minimum of 60l of water per hectare and maintain good agitation throughout application.

Clenecorn is compatible with most commonly used cereal herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and foliar fertiliser as well as wild oat herbicides. Commonly tank mixed with Hat-Trick, Pasture Guard MCPA and / or Pasture Guard MCPB.  Clenecorn is compatible with most other commonly used cereal herbicides.

Environmental Fate:

Clenecorn has a soil life, with degradation closely related to both rainfall and soil pH. Do not plant any crop other than wheat or oats within 3mths of application of Clenecorn.

Rainfall:

Rainfall within one hour of application may reduce the effectiveness.

Additional Information:

Clenecorn is taken up through leaf contact action and root absorption where it rapidly interferes with cell division & growth.  Symptoms of yellowing and then death may take 1 - 3 weeks but this can occur faster under warmer growth conditions. Following the cereal harvest do not plant any other crops other than cereals, greenfeed brassica's, peas or lucerne. Do not sow any other crop without consulting an Agrochemical Specialist.
