Physical Description:

Colour varies depending on components. Fertiliser mix consists of pink to brown or dark grey granules, with red white or brown crystalline granules.

Uses:

Pasture 4 and 6 are a mixture of superphosphate, potassium chloride and ammonium sulphate and contain soluble phosphate, sulphate sulphur and calcium as well as potassium and nitrogen and can be used for pastoral maintenance or development, particularly where N status of the soil is expected to be low. It is ideal for forage cropping, arable or horticultural situations where immediate responses are required.

Benefits:

Pasture 4 and 6 are multi nutrient fertilisers which suit many different land uses, especially where 5 of the 6 major nutrients are required. All the components have readily soluble nutrients available for immediate plant response. On pastoral soils, particularly in dairying, these products are ideally suited for applying the maintenance P, K and S etc. where a boost in growth is required on the shoulders of the season from the N component.

Application:

Spreading rates for Pasture 4 and 6 vary greatly and actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, crop grown, climate, productivity and soil type - it is best to confirm rates with a Field Officer.

Storage & Handling:

Unlike most superphosphate based fertilisers, Pasture 4 and 6 are not stable and should be applied as soon as practical after mixing at the store.
