Timeframe
Plants should be actively growing and free of stress with clean foliage at time of spraying.

The effects of Ravensdown Glyphosate 360 may not be apparent for 3-7 days depending on weather conditions, weed species and the herbicide rate used.  Some perennial weeds may not show effects for 14-21 days.

Accelerate Penetrant may be used with Glyphosate 360 to increase the rate of uptake on certain weeds (refer label for details).
Plant back withholding
Glyphosate has no soil activity; crops can be planted immediately after spraying.
Stock withholding
Annual weeds can be grazed within 3 days of application and 5 days is preferred for perennial species. Situations containing poisonous plants such as ragwort should not be grazed until the plants have died down
Barriers to effectiveness
Rainfall

Rain within 6 hours following application may reduce the effectiveness. The addition of an organo-silicone penetrant such as Accelerate will reduce the critical rain-free period.

Benefits of Glyphosate 360

A broad spectrum, non-selective herbicide used in a wide range of situations

Extremely useful pre-cultivation to eliminate competition when establishing a crop or new pasture

Also used for general weed control around sheds, fence lines, races, drains and many other situations

A very cost effective non selective herbicide that can be used in a variety of situations.

For pasture renewal, it helps eliminate the resident weed populations resulting in a cleaner seedbed, better plant establishment as well as saving valuable tractor hours and diesel.

Allows for faster turnaround times for direct drilling and cultivation whilst saving valuable time. It is also very useful as a moisture conservation tool.

Being non selective it makes it ideal for most total vegetation control programmes from fence lines to industrial yards.

Application rates and usage

Agrochemicals - NZ

Application

Ravensdown Glyphosate has so many uses in such a wide variety of situation that it is always best to refer to the Glyphosate 360 Label for specific application details.

Mode of action

Once it is in the plant it is translocated to the meristematic tissue. There it inhibits the activity of EPSP synthase, preventing the production of amino acids phenylalanine, tyrosine & tryptophan, causing the plants to starve to death. Symptoms under cold conditions can take up to 10 days to appear. This activity only occurs in plants.

Storage and handling

Keep out of reach of children

Store in accordance with NZS 8409 Management of Agrichemicals

Store in original container tightly closed in a locked, dry cool area away from foodstuffs, fertilizers and seeds

Please refer to the product label for product handling and storage details.

Shelf life

When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for two years from the date of manufacture. Please contact your Ravensdown Account Manager, or the Customer Centre on 0800 100 123, for further information about the use of any product that is older than this.

Mixing and compatibility

Reduced results may occur if dirty water (e.g. from ponds), hard water containing calcium salts or water containing metal ions (e.g. iron) is used.  Ensure tank is free of any residue of previous spray materials.

Half fill the spray tank with clean water and add the required amount of Glyphosate 360, agitate and continue to fill the tank.

Glyphosate 360 is compatible with most commonly used herbicides and insecticides.

Add Accelerate penetrant where required.  If mixing with other herbicides, ensure these are fully dispersed before adding Glyphosate 360.  Be sure to observe all precautions, especially plant back periods when using other herbicides.  Use tank mixes promptly.
