| Barriers to effectiveness |
Barriers Resistance can develop to any anthelmintic and there are some reported cases of resistance to double combinations in sheep parasites in NZ. Check the effectiveness of anthelmintics at least annually (but preferably 3-4 times/year) by faecal egg counting 10 days after drenching, and preferably immediately pre-drenching as well. Follow current recommended parasite management practices to reduce the potential for resistance to develop. It is advisable that a drench resistance test be conducted before any parasite treatment is used.

Mineralised triple combination oral drench (white, clear and endectocide/macrocyclic lactone)
Ideal as part of a routine parasite control programme
For use as a quarantine drench
Effective against all adult and immature roundworm (including strains with single or dual resistance to macrocyclic lactones, benzimidazoles, levamisole or closantel), lungworm, tapeworm, adult liver fluke, nasal bot and itch mite
For use as a quarantine drench: Treat all animals on arrival, or ideally at farm of origin, and hold in yards for 24 hours before release.
Application
Administer orally at 1mL per 5kg live-weight
Capability and precautions
Do not exceed the stated dose
Doses of 3 or more times those recommended can cause symptoms of levamisole toxicity, so estimate liveweights carefully
Dehydrated animals may be more susceptible to toxicity
Fatal interactions may occur between levamisole and organophosphate dips
Do not use at the same time as any other selenised animal health product without consulting a veterinarian or animal health adviser
In sheep, liver levels of copper may be quite variable. Consequently, there is always a risk of copper poisoning (deaths) occurring following copper supplementation in this species
Storage and handling
Store below 25oC (room temperature) in the original container, tightly closed and locked up in a safe place away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
Shelf life
12 months from date of manufacture.
