| Plant back withholding |
Plant Withholding
Basis has a soil life, with degradation closely related to both rainfall and soil pH. Do not plant any crop other than wheat or oats within 3mths of application of Basis. Following harvest of the cereal crop and within 12 months of application, the paddock can be sown into brassica, lucerne, pasture or peas.
|
| Stock withholding |
Stock Withholding Some poisonous plants such as ragwort become sweet and more palatable after spraying and stock should not graze areas that have these sprayed plants until the plants have died down.
|
| Barriers to effectiveness |
Barriers Rainfall
Rainfall within one hour of application may reduce the effectiveness.
Environmental conditions
Do not spray crops that are under stress from: drought, water saturated soil, disease or insect damage as crop damage may occur. Crop damage may also occur if these conditions occur after spraying.

Controls a wide range of broadleaf weeds in cereal crops
Can be tank mixed with many other cereal herbicides to increase weed spectrum
Applied from two true leaf through until just prior to boot stage (GS 12–45)
Basis has a large weed spectrum and is a very cost effective herbicide. It is compatible with most other commonly used cereal herbicides and is an ideal tank mix partner. Basis can be used from autumn to late spring as long as the weeds are the correct size for treatment.
Do not apply to crops undersown with lucerne or white clover.
