Timeframe
Eradicate is rapidly absorbed into the foliage of treated plants and is translocated to the growng points in roots and foliage, where it rapidly causes cell division to stop.  Treated plants slowly lose vigour and die.
Plant back withholding
Re establishment of pasture – Eradicate 600 is extremely damaging to ryegrass and clover.  Soil residues may also prevent quick re-establishment of ryegrass and clover following application.  A minimum of 3 months is recommended before attempting to over sow. It is also recommended that a small area be sown first to check for any residues. The persistency will vary depending on the dose rate, soil type and rainfall
Stock withholding
Do not graze treated area with dairy cows within 3 days of application or 1 day with other stock. After spraying ragwort, plants become palatable to stock, so do not allow stock into sprayed areas until plants have died.
Barriers to effectiveness
Rainfall

Rainfall within 1 hour of application may reduce the effectiveness of Eradicate 600.

Benefits of Eradicate 600

Broad spectrum control of brushweeds in farm and forestry site preparation

Used for brushweed control as broadacre spray or in spot spraying situations

Useful for spot spraying or weed-wiping difficult to control weeds such as thistles, buttercup and ragwort

It is extremely cost effective at controlling most brushweeds

It has low toxicity and therefore is an extremely safe product for the user

It is ideal for blanket spraying large areas, especially pre plant in forestry

It can be used for extremely hard to kill broadleaf weed species in pasture through spot spraying or weed wiping

Eradicate 600, a herbicide for the control of brushweeds such as blackberry, broom, gorse, matagouri, sweetbriar and many other difficult to control woody weeds.

It is used extensively for controlling large areas of brushweeds and for forestry site preparation.

Application

As Eradicate 600 can be applied through spot guns, knapsacks, weed wipers, mist blowers, stump swabbing, stem injection and by aerial applicaiton and hand guns for many different species, it is advised to refer to the label for the appropriate rates.

Eradicate 600 is compatible with Glyphosate 360 and most other likely herbicide partners. In most situations Eradicate 600 must be used with an organic-silicone penetrant such as Accelerate.

Mode of action

Eradicate is rapidly absorbed by foliage and is translocated in the plant. It arrests cell division in the growing tips, leaves and roots of the plants, stopping growth. This happens very quickly and is followed by a slow decline in plant vigour and subsequent death.

Storage and handling

Keep out of reach of children.

Store in accordance with NZS 8409 Management of Agrichemicals.

Store in original container tightly closed in a locked, dry, cool area away from foodstuffs, fertilizers and seeds.

Mixing and compatibility

Add the required quantity of Eradicate 600 to spray tank partly filled with water and maintain agitation through filling and spraying.  When using with an  organosilicone penetrant such as Accelerate, add the Accelerate when the tank is nearly full.

Eradicate 600 is compatible with most commonly used herbicides. Do not mix with hormone type products (e.g. 2,4-D and MCPA) when treating pasture areas as severe pasture damage will result.

It may also be used with spray marker dyes based on acetic acid formulations, but mixtures must be used within 24 hours
