Timeframe
Multiple is absorbed by leaves, stems and roots and is translocated to the growing points, where it interferes with cell elongation and other vital processes. Under good growth conditions, visible symptoms of distortion to the growth of leaves and stems should be apparent within a week, this may take longer under hot dry or cold slow growth conditions.
Plant back withholding
Plant back

Do not plant peas, beans, clover, carrots, cucurbits, potatoes or tomatoes within 12 weeks of applying up to 0.5 litres/ha.  In areas that more than 0.5 litres/ha has been applied do not plant susceptible crops for 6 months.  Within this time check soil residues by planting out a small area first.  Brassicas, cereal and ryegrass crops may be drilled anytime after application.

Crop residues

Do not compost or mulch clippings from treated areas for 6 months after treatment.  Do not use straw from Multiple treated cereal crops for compost or mulch.
Stock withholding
No withholding period is required when used as directed.

Note: Poisonous plants may become more palatable after spraying. If concerned that stock health may be affected, stock should be kept away from the treated area until plants have died down.
Barriers to effectiveness
Rainfall

Do not spray if rain is expected within 3 hours of spraying.

Benefits of Multiple

The best option on multi-crown and perennial thistles for spot, handgun or boom applications

Very effective for broadleaf weed control at spray out

Controls a range of weeds in some crops and cereals and can be added to Pasture Guard products to increase the weed spectrum or where phenoxy resistance is suspected

Multiple can be used on amenity and turf grass areas such as sports fields and parks to remove unsightly flat weeds, without harming the grasses. It is used extensively in combination with Glyphosate 360 in sprayouts before direct drilling (conservation tillage) of brassica's cereals and ryegrasses.

Multiple is the product of choice for controlling Californian thistles and other weeds in forage brassica's. It has excellent activity on Californian, Scotch, nodding, variegated and winged thistles either through; weed wipers, handguns or knapsacks.

Multiple is ideal for spot spraying and can be added to Pasture Guard MCPA 750 & Pasture Guard 2,4-D 680 for extra efficacy in pasture weed spraying.
