Timeframe
Under good growth conditions, visual symptoms of distortion of growth of leaves and stems should be visible in 4-7 days.  Plant death may take up to 3-4 weeks or more.
Plant back withholding

Plant back

Where susceptible species such as Brassica's & Clovers are to be planted, it is advised not to sow for up to 28 days following application. High rates of Pasture Guard MCPA 750 will cause temporary suppression of clover species.  Grazing the application area prior to spraying will remove the clover leaf and minimise suppression.

Stock

Delay grazing for 10-14 days after application to ensure the chemical has had a chance to start working.  Some poisonous plants such as ragwort become sweet and more palatable after spraying and stock should not graze these pastures until the plants have died down.

Application

At all times you should refer to the Pasture Guard MCPA 750 label. Rates vary from weed species and whether the plant is a seedling or established plant. Pasture Guard MCPA 750 is compatible with most other commonly used herbicides and insecticides. Tank mixing with other products requires care and each product should be added to the spray tank separately, and allow for full dilution before adding the other.

Mode of Action

Absorbed mainly through leaves and readily translocates in the plant with nutrient movement.  It accumulates in the growing points of stems and roots where it interferes with cell division and enlargement.

Storage and Handling

Keep out of reach of children.

Store in accordance with NZS 8409 Management of Agrichemicals.
