Benefits of Halex cs

Ideal for control of problem caterpillars like cutworm and diamond back moth

Safe to use over flowering crops late in the evening, or early morning when bees are not foraging

Very useful for aphid control and preventing the spread of virus in sensitive crops eg BYDV in cereals

The capsule suspension formulation of Halexcs prolongs field activity by reducing breakdown of the active ingredient by UV light

The capsule suspension formulation also helps reduce the risk of skin sensitisation that can occur with synthetic pyrethroid insecticides

Application rates and usage

Halex Label
Agrochemicals - NZ

Application

Halexcs is highly active and is effective at low use rates eg 20-40ml/ha or 4ml/100L water.  Can be used in many different crops, to control a wide range of insect pests, therefore it is always best to refer to the label for the correct application for the situation and target species.

Good spray coverage of the crop is essential for good results, always use high water rates (>300L water/ha).  Always add a non-ionic surfactant, such as Widespread, at label rates unless mixing with another product containing surfactant.

Mode of action

Halexcs acts primarily by direct contact and as a stomach poison on ingestion.  It acts directly on the nervous system of susceptible pests.

Storage and handling

Keep out of reach of children

Store in a cool dry place, avoiding temperatures above 35˚C

Store in original container, tightly closed, away from foodstuffs

Store in accordance with NZS 8409 Management of Agrichemicals

Please refer to the product label for product handling and storage details

Shelf life

When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for two years from the date of manufacture. Please contact your Ravensdown Account Manager, or the Customer Centre on 0800 100 123, for further information about the use of any product that is older than this.

Mixing and compatibility

Halexcs mixes readily with water and is compatible with most commonly used fungicides except strongly alkaline materials such as Bordeaux mixture and lime sulphur. Rain within one hour of treatment may reduce the effectiveness.
