Convenient ready-to-use liquid cobalt supplement
Prevention and treatment of cobalt deficiency
Use by addition to the drinking water, oral daily drenching, addition to supplementary feed or foliar application (preferably with a suitable sticking agent such as Widespread™ at 50mL per 100 litres water)
Application
Water treatment; Administer to adult cattle through the water supply at a rate not exceeding 2ml per head/day, and to sheep at a rate of 10-20ml per 1000 head/day, unless advised by your animal health adviser.
Oral drenching; For dairy cows that are drenched daily during milking, use the rates described as for water treatment above. For other stock classes, consult your animal health adviser for recommended dose rates.
Addition to supplementary feed; Mix thoroughly into supplementary feed daily to supply the same rates as for water treatment above.
Foliar application; Spray pasture to be grazed with 1.25-2.5 litres Stock Cobalt™ per hectare, up to 1-2 weeks pre-grazing, for up to 40 days supplementation. Repeated 6 weekly applications at the lower rate are more effective than a single application at the higher rate. Stock Cobalt™ can also be sprayed at the higher rate onto pasture that is due to be cut, or has been cut, for hay, silage or baleage. A sticker such as Widespread™ can be used at 50mL per 100 litres of water.
Storage and handling
Store in the original container and close container after use. Store in a clean dry covered facility out of direct sunlight.
Shelf life
5 years from date of manufacture.
Mixing
Stock Cobalt™ is water-soluble so can be mixed with most other water-soluble animal health products.
