Provide nitrogen (13.9%), phosphate (15.4%) & potassium (9.5%) + boron for forage brassicas
Nitrogen and phosphate are the two most essential elements for brassica production
Boron is added to prevent disease in boron deficient crops
The two most essential elements for brassica production are nitrogen and phosphate. Cropmaster Brassica + Boron provides these necessary elements, with the addition of potassium for environments where soil potash levels are low to moderate.
Boron is typically added for swede and turnip crops to ensure the bulbs do not suffer from Brown Heart, which is caused by a boron deficiency.
Uses
Cropmaster Brassica + Boron is designed for the establishment of forage brassica crops. They provide a balanced mix of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium with the option of including boron (as Borate 46).
Application rates and advice
Typical rates of application will be 250-300kg/ha, however it this will vary according to soil fertility and paddock history. If boron is included in the mix, ensure all the fertiliser is broadcast, and none goes down the spout with seed when drilling, due to the risk of germination injury.
Actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, climate, productivity, soil type and crop type. Soil testing and fertiliser plans are available to ensure you use the right product at the correct rate. Call our Customer Centre for information.
As with most solid fertilisers, Cropmaster Brassica + Boron can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Store bags in a dry place ensuring they are tightly sealed.
Always clean drills and spreaders after use to avoid corrosion.
