Aimed at high value crops sensitive to chloride and salt
The potassium is supplied in the sulphate form
Provides the necessary phosphorus (plus some calcium) for optimum crop production
Potash Gold Super is the ideal source of phosphorus, potassium and sulphur for high value crops sensitive to chloride and salt. Such crops include tomatoes, avocados, lettuce, melons, french beans, tobacco, citrus, raspberries and strawberries.
The Potash Gold Super range of products is based around (or on) potassium sulphate. Potassium sulphate is a low salt index source of potassium, which is ideally suited to chloride sensitive crops or where large quantities of potassium are needed. It is the recommended potassium source for the majority of vegetable and horticultural crops. The Potash Gold Super range combines potassium sulphate with other P and S fertilisers to form a complete fertiliser range without nitrogen.
Uses
These fertilisers are typically used for crops sensitive to chloride and salt. In addition to the potassium being supplied in the sulphate form, the superphosphate component provides the necessary phosphorus (plus some calcium) for optimum crop production.
Potash Gold Super fertilisers are designed for the establishment of vegetable crops. Each blend provides a balanced mix of phosphorous, potassium and sulphur for broadcast before planting. Choosing which form of Potash Gold Super is purely based on crop type and soil fertlility.
20% Potash Gold Super 0-7-8 would, for example, be a good choice if you had low phosphate and adequate potassium levels.
Application rates and advice
Typical rates of application will be 350 – 1000kg/ha depending on soil fertility where phosphate and potassium levels are low to moderate. Actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, climate, productivity and soil type. Soil testing and fertiliser plans are available to ensure you use the right product at the correct rate. As with most solid fertilisers, 20% Potash Gold Super 0-7-8 can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Store bags in a dry place ensuring they are tightly sealed.
