Physical description

Cutting's Avocado Young Tree Mix is a blended fertiliser powered by Nitrophoska. It contains a combination of different products all which have very similar granule size which decreases the chances of segregation and ensures is has good spreading characteristics. The blend contains a mixture of black, white, cream and blue granules.

Although Cutting’s Avocado Young Mix + TE generally mixes well with other products, it is not compatible with the following:

Magnesium Oxide

Cutting’s Avocado Young Mix + TE can be compatible with the following under certain circumstances:

Dry Lime (may also give off ammonia gas)

Segregation may occur when mixed with product with differences of particle size.

Cutting's Avocado Young Tree mix meets all the nutritional requirements of a young avocado tree in one mix.

The potassium contained within the mix is all potassium sulphate, therefore is safe to use on avocados which are chloride sensitive. It also contains both forms of nitrogen, ammonium & nitrate nitrogen, which leads to more even growth from the tree.

The mix also contains enough zinc and boron to meet the trees demand, which is coated onto fertiliser to ensure a more even spread.

Uses

Cutting's Avocado Young Tree is used on non producing avocado trees.

Application rates and advice

Normally 4 applications are applied; early September, mid December, mid January & early March. Rates vary between 100 - 250 grams per tree depending on the age of the tree.

Actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, climate, productivity, soil type and crop type. Soil testing and fertiliser plans are available to ensure you use the right product at the correct rate. As with most solid fertilisers, Cutting’s Avocado Young Mix + TE can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Store bags in a dry place ensuring they are tightly sealed.
