Unlike sulphates, Magnesium Nitrate can be mixed with Calcium Nitrate in the same tank and applied together. Magnesium is the central molecule of chlorophyll, without it photosynthesis will not occur.

Magnesium Nitrate is classified as Dangerous Goods, 5.2 Oxidizing agent. Special conditions apply to the transportation, storage and handling of Magnesium Nitrate.
As with most solid fertilisers, Magnesium Nitrate can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Store bags in a dry place ensuring they are tightly sealed.
