It also aims to achieve the best potassium:calcium+magnesium balance in young developing fruit, while providing adequate nitrogen & potassium for autumn leaf integrity and photosynthetic efficiency. Kieserite is a very water soluble form of magnesium so become plant available very quickly.
Nitrophoska TE + Kieserite also contains a range of trace elements (Iron 385ppm approx, Boron 154ppm approx, Zinc 77ppm approx).

Application rates and advice
A normal pre-flowering side dressing on Green Kiwifruit in the Bay of Plenty is 325kg/ha as stated on the Nitrophoska Green Kiwifruit Crop sheet.

As with most solid fertilisers, Nitrophoska TE + Kieserite can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Store bags in a dry place ensuring they are tightly sealed.
