An intermediate stem height, leafy kale with high yield potential, Proteor is a palatable variety with a thin stem and a high leaf to stem ratio (often more than 50% leaf), ensuring high utilization. Has good winter hardiness and good tolerance of aphids, club root and other diseases.

Suitability / use

Proteor may be used as a high quality and well proven feed for sheep, cattle and deer during either late summer, early autumn or during winter. Light grazings in summer, autumn will result in some re-growth. Break-fencing is recommended for the optimum feed utilization of kale crops.
