Pasture Summit Conference

This November, the biannual Pasture Summit Conference will be in New Zealand for the first time and promises to be an informative and interactive occasion focused on Growing Dairy’s Future. Conferences in both the North Island and South Island will examine the cutting edge of pasture-based farming, the challenges we face and innovations for the future. The conference is an Irish/New Zealand initiative, established in 2017 by a group of progressive and committed farm business owners and dairy sector experts from across both countries.

Hear from leading farmers and researchers who believe dairy farming can and should be profitable and rewarding, and that our pasture-fed products are best for the consumer and the environment. Among exciting talks on pasture growth, nutrition trends, farm finances and cow fertility, Ravensdown’s Chief Scientific Officer Ants Roberts will be chairing the Solutions to the environmental and climatic challenge workshops with Bruce Thorrold from DairyNZ in the North and Keith Cameron from Lincoln University in the South.

Those attending the South Island conference will also have the chance to see Ravensdown and Lincoln university’s dairy effluent technology ClearTech in action at the Lincoln University Dairy Farm.

The North Island conference will be held on November 26 and 27 in Hamilton (day one Claudelands Event Centre / day two Lye Farm workshops), with the South Island conference on November 29 and 30 (day one Hotel Ashburton / day two workshops at Lincoln University’s Ashley Dene farm). In addition, Ravensdown is proud to be the exclusive sponsor of the South Island gala dinner to be held at Hotel Ashburton on Thursday 29 November 2018.
