In an intergenerational sector like agriculture, it makes sense to support the next generation of rural leaders.
Considering Ravensdown’s purpose is Smarter farming for a better New Zealand, it makes even more sense for us to lend a hand to a dedicated tertiary student who is studying toward a qualification in our sector.
Applications for the 2026 Ravensdown Hugh Williams Scholarship are open until 3 December 2025.
The scholarship is open to the child of a Ravensdown shareholder who has completed their first year of undergraduate study at Lincoln or Massey universities. If they are studying in the field of agriculture or horticulture, they may be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
They could receive $5,000 towards their study for every year they have remaining in their full-time course.
About the Hugh Williams Memorial Scholarship
The Hugh Williams Memorial Scholarship was founded in memory of the late Hugh Williams, a Ravensdown director from 1987 to 2000.
The scholarship, for the children of Ravensdown shareholders, aims to encourage undergraduate study in an agricultural or horticultural degree.
