Why Use Animec Super Injection

  • Effective against all ivermectin-susceptible roundworm and lungworm, plus lice and mites.
  • Clorsulon is specifically effective against adult liver fluke.

Important Information

  • Application and advice

    Administer by subcutaneous injection.

    Inject high on the neck behind the ear. Loose skin on the neck in front of the shoulder is also a suitable site.

    1mL per 50kg live-weight.

    We recommend the following applicators: 2mL Injection Gun5mL Injection Gun10mL Injection Gun.


    • Do not exceed the stated dose.
    • Avoid carcass damage.
    • Sterilise all injection apparatus by boiling (or equivalent) before use.
    • Avoid use of strong disinfectants on apparatus.
    • Maintain cleanliness at all times.
    • Keep needles sharp and clean and replace needles frequently.
    • Use shortest needle possible, certainly not exceeding 15 mm.
    • Needle should be 16 gauge for larger doses, especially in cold conditions. 18 gauge is suitable for smaller doses.
    • Avoid injection of animals during wet weather, or under dusty conditions.
    • This product must be injected only under the skin.

    Ensure injection is subcutaneous. Intramuscular injection will result in prolonged residues, and an increase in meat withholding to 91 days.

  • Efficacy spectrum

    Animec Super Injection is indicated for the effective treatment and control of the following harmful species of gastrointestinal worms, lungworm, liver fluke, mites and lice:

    Adult and immature gastrointestinal roundworms

    • Ostertagia spp.
    • Trichostronylus spp.
    • Cooperia spp.
    • Bunostomum phlebotomum.
    • Oesophagostomum radiatum.
    • O.lyrata
    • Adult Nematodirus

    Controls infection with Cooperia spp. acquired up to at least 7 days after treatment.

    Controls infection with Ostertagia spp. acquired up to at least 14 days after treatment.

    Controls infection with Oesophagostomum radiatum acquired up to at least 21 days after treatment.

    Adult gastrointestinal roundworms

    • Nematodirus spp.
    • Trichuris spp.


    • Adult and immature Dictyocaulus viviparusent.

    Controls infection with Dictyocaulus viviparusent acquired up to at least 21 days after treatment.

    Biting lice

    • Bovicola bovis.

    Sucking lice

    • Linognathus vituli.
    • Haematopinus eurysternus.
    • Solenopotes capillatus.


    • Psoroptes spp.
    • Chorioptes bovis.

    Liver fluke

    • Adult Fasciola hepatica.
  • Withholding period

    Meat Withholding
    Cattle producing meat (or offal) for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter during treatment, and within 28 days of treatment.

    Intramuscular injection will result in prolonged residues. Animals producing meat (or offal) for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter within 91 days of the last treatment.

    If a pregnant cow is treated, and calves within the meat withholding period, the offspring is fit for slaughter only when the mother is fit for slaughter.

    A cow is treated with Animec Super Injection 14 days before calving. The calf cannot be slaughtered (for human consumption) until 14 days after the date of birth.

    Milk Withholding
    Cow's milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during, and within 14 days of last treatment

  • Packaging and storage

    • Round bottle.
    • Comes with vented draw-off tube, cradle and strap.

    Store in the original container, inside the carton, in a cool, dry, locked place, away from direct sunlight.

    Store below 30°C.

    Shelf-life is three years from date of manufacture.
