- Lawn Fertiliser

Lawn Fertiliser is a blend of superphosphate and ammonium sulphate, with the addition of a small amount of ferrous sulphate.
-
Why use
- Promote rich green grass growth by providing nitrogen and phosphorus with iron sulphate
- Nitrogen applied in the form of ammonium sulphate helps to lower the soil pH, discouraging earthworms
- Iron sulphate reduces moss and can add vibrancy to the grass colour

Caution when mixing
Although Lawn Fertiliser generally mixes well with other products, it is not compatible with the following:
Potassium Nitrate, Ammonium Nitrate, Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP), Cropmaster DAP, Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN), Magnesium Oxide or UreaLawn Fertiliser can be compatible with the following under certain circumstances:
Flexi-N (magnesium coated Urea)Segregation may occur when mixed with product with differences of particle size.
Nitrogen applied in the form of ammonium sulphate helps to lower the soil pH. As earthworms prefer an alkaline soil environment, long term use of this fertiliser will discourage worms thus reducing worm casts at the surface. As well as reducing moss growth, iron sulphate also has a slight acidifying effect, while many claim it also adds vibrancy to the grass colour.

Application and storage
Lawn Fertiliser is typically applied at a rate of 20g/m2 every two months (this is equivalent to 200kg/ha). Water the lawn after each fertiliser application.
Unlike most solid fertilisers, Lawn Fertiliser is not stable and should be applied as soon as practical after mixing at the store as has propensity to become lumpy.
