Surflex®is the name of the range of unique micro-nutrient coated superphosphate based products coated with copper (5kg or 10kg per T) using the Surflex® coating system.
Trace elements are used in very low quantities, therefore getting an even and consistent application of these elements across a paddock is difficult. The use of Surflex® technology coats every granule with the required amount of trace elements increasing the distribution of the trace element.
Superphosphate based products, then coated with copper using Surflex® technology. Available on Sulphur Super 15, Sulphur Super 20, Sulphur Super 30 and Serpentine Super. Speak to your Agri Manager or the Customer Centre for more.

Login to My RavensdownSurflex® is a range of unique micronutrient coated Superphosphate based products that are manufactured using the Precision Blending Plant in Christchurch. This technology is world leading and allows the even mixing of solid fertiliser and coating of polymers onto certain fertilisers.
For coating Superphosphate based products where copper is limiting animal production.
For sheep and cattle, rates are 1.25-2.5 kg/ha elemental copper annually in autumn, which relates to Surflex®5 copper and Surflex®10 Copper respectively. For deer rates are 2.5 kg/ha elemental copper (Surflex® 10 Copper) annually in autumn. Copper takes at least a month to get into herbage through the fertiliser so to ensure adequate levels have been reached in the herbage, test the herbage 4-6 weeks after application.
Can be stored over the season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.
