Triple Super is generally dark grey, but like straight Superphosphate, the colour of the granules will vary with the rock type/source.

Caution when mixing
Triple Super generally mixes well with other products.
Segregation may occur when mixed with a product with differences in particle size.

Used in some crop fertiliser mixtures - not usually cost competitive for Pastoral application. The benefit of the high P content is that the cost of the cartage spreading component per kg P applied is lower than Single Superphosphate.

Application
Spreading rates for Triple Super vary greatly, but it is not recommended to be spread at rates of over 500 kg/ha. Actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, climate, productivity and soil type. Soil testing and fertiliser plans are available to ensure you use the right product at the correct rate. As with most solid fertilisers, Triple Super can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area.
