Application and storage
As a maintenance dressing, rates of 100-150 kg/ha are typically applied. Under magnesium deficiency situations, applications of up to 300-400 kg/ha may be required.
Actual spreading rates will vary according to farm type, climate, productivity, soil type and crop type. Soil testing and fertiliser plans are available to ensure you use the right product at the correct rate. Call our Customer Centre for information.
As with most solid fertilisers, Kieserite can be stored over a season as long as it is kept in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Store bags in a dry place ensuring they are tightly sealed. -
Uses
Kieserite is typically used in cropping, horticulture, market gardening, and for maize production. Adequate magnesium and sulphur nutrition is essential to obtain maximum yield and quality.
