Ultra Enhanced® Perennial Ryegrass

A high-yielding diploid inter-species cross of perennial ryegrass and meadow fescue. Ultra enhanced® perennial ryegrass provides superior winter and early spring growth. It is suitable for rotational grazing and set stocking in high rainfall and dryland regions.
-
Why use
- A densely tillered, late heading, very high yielding perennial inter-species cross.
- High pasture quality and palatability.
- Very good persistence - and disease resistance.
AR1
Suitable for use as a high performing grass under rotational grazing and set stocking in high rainfall, irrigated and dryland regions in the southern north island (where black beetle predation is not an issue) and throughout the South Island.
Insect deterrence: Argentine stem weevil, pasture mealy bug.
Low Endophyte
Suitable for use as a high performing grass under rotational grazing and set stocking in cooler, wetter regions such as southland, South Otago and the west coast where pasture insect pressure is lower.
Insect deterrence: nil -
Benefits/Agronomic information
- Very high yield performance across all seasons, years and regions.
- Superior winter and early spring growth.
- High pasture quality (me, digestibility and palatability).
- High livestock performance potential.
- Animal safe - will not cause grass staggers or heat stress.
- Strong disease resistance.
- Late heading (+20 days) with low aftermath heading.
- Suitable for all livestock types.
- Persistence - 5+ years
- Winter activity - very high
- Sowing Rate -16 - 20 kg/ha
- Heading Dates - (days of cf nui) + 20
- Minimum Rainfall - 500+ ml
- Rust resistance: 9 (1=susceptible 9=resistance)
